Are

Victorious

Eternally

If you are feeling prosecuted, if you are feeling as though you have been suffering painstakingly for no reason and if you are at the point of giving up on life and everything else -- Stop!!

There could be a reason, for all your stress and persecution with reason, that you are or have been overlooking. Psalms 68:5 is one exampe: 5 They are multiplied above the hairs of my head, who hate me without cause. My enemies are grown strong who have wrongfully persecuted me: then did I pay that which I took not away. Then in Psalm 142: 3 it is written: For the enemy hath persecuted my soul: he hath brought down my life to the earth. He hath made me to dwell in darkness as those that have been dead of old: Then in the book of Mathew, Chapter 15 and verse 20: Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. Remember also that there is a great reward for induring to the end. This reward is for whoever endures and that includes the people of Pierre Part and Belle River and South Louisiana. In the Book of James in Chapter 1 and Verse 12 we are told that "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he is tried, he will receive the "Crown of Life" which the Lord has promised to those who love him". James 1:12

Salvation

a poem by Morgan J. Landry

Son of the living God, Jesus

Atonement for my soul You gave to me, Lord, through

Love as no other can show for no other can sit in your place

Victory in Jesus is the reward of belief, salvation for my soul

Angels adore You, Jesus, and praise your holy name

Transgressions against You, are no more dear Lord

In your Name demons are cast out and souls are saved

Only Jesus saves and that's what its all about

None come to salvation but through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Church of God...... of Prophecy Belle River, La.

Service : Every Sunday at 11:00am

You are also welcome to attend Christian Education at 10pm. There is Sunday School, for all children in attendance, at the same time, from 10pm until 11pm. We have dedicated instructors which teach the word of God to our young people every Sunday.

Directly following Christian Education and Sunday School there is a music program with songs of praise. That takes place every Sunday and the music service is a wonderful way to join the two services.

For those people from the Pierre Part and Belle River areas that are not familar with the music service portion there are many attendants who soon grow fond of the service and look forward to the service every Sunday morning.

Jesus Christ is the door to Salvation --John 9:7 - Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep, All who ever came before Me are thieves and roberrs, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

Thomas said to him, "Lord we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

About the Church of God of Prophecy: We affirm that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in the physical miracles He performed, in His atoning death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory at His Second Coming. We profess that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of sinful man. We believe that sanctification by the blood of Christ makes possible personal holiness. We affirm the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling we are able to live godly lives and have power for service. We believe in the ultimate unity of believers, as prayed for by our Lord Jesus Christ in John 17. We believe in the sanctity of human life; we are also committed to the sanctity of the marriage bond and the importance of strong, loving Christian families.

Special Note:
The Church of God of Prophecy fully subscribes to the New Testament principle of Word and Spirit (God's Word and God's Spirit) as practiced by the early church in the Book of Acts. The Holy Spirit is the third Divine Person of the Trinity sent by Jesus Christ our Lord after His ascension and at the pleasure of God the Father to be the Guide and Instructor of the church. He is the ultimate Author, Inspirer, and Applicator of the Scriptures (John 16:7-15; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:1-4; II Timothy 3:14-17; II Peter 1:20-21). The Church of God of Prophecy seeks to heed and observe the call and direction of the Spirit in both our understanding of the Scriptures and our attempts at personal and corporate obedience. We pledged in our Church Covenant to "walk in the light [of God's Word] to the best of our knowledge and ability". Hence the Church, in International General Assembly, does revisit from time to time, our understandings and explanations of our doctrines and practices. We do this against the background of the Bible, rightly divided (II Timothy 2:15), in the fear of God and because of human frailties and historic institutional failures.
